"Don’t do this to me now. Not now. I’m to the point of exhaustion. If you do this to me one more time I will die."

"But you’re already dead." His deformed smile looked reminiscent of the Joker from Batman comics. His eyes stared at me with lifeless pupils. Black despair filled each of them, accented by this boomerang shaped eye brows. A shutter went through my spine.

"Leave me alone!" I squeezed my eyes shut trying to push the pain away.

It didn’t help.

As soon as my eye lids shut, his face enveloped my mind creating a chaos in my mind. Thoughts shot from every region of my brain. I could feel his icy power grasp control of my soul.

"Let yourself go, Alexander. Fighting me will do nothing. You’re mine now."

The devil himself was trying to take my very sanity. He wasn’t going to get it without a fight.

My eyes sprung open and in a swirl of raging anger I lounged at him grappling for his throat. He wasn’t more then 10 feet away when I started. By the time I reach him he had moved. Only it wasn’t conscious moving. He had disappeared and reappeared instantly. Now her was 20 feet away.

"Like I said before, Alexander. Fighting me will do nothing." And with a growing voice, like someone turning up the volume on a stereo to full blast he added, "YOU’RE MINE NOW!"

I crumbled to my knees, grasping my ears, screaming in pain. Only I couldn’t hear my own screams. I was deaf. All I could do was open my eyes and see him laughing. Hearty laughs, as if the worlds funniest joke had just been told.

I lowered my eyes. I gave up.

He came closer to me and put his hand on my left shoulder, barely touching me as if his hand was as light as a piece of paper.

I could hear again, "It’s time for you to do my bidding, Alexander."

I awoke.
